Sometimes a Champagne Supernova comes in pink. The Taittinger Cuvée Prestige Brut Rosé comes in a shade of pink that seems to come from Monet’s garden. More pastel than fluorescent, this wine smells of typical clean, Champagne French Chardonnay with some berry accents. This non vintage product brings some character to the fine tradition of Champagne wine. With respectable mouthfeel and carbonation, the wine is enhanced by the the addition of just enough red wine to colour the champagne. In terms of taste, this gives you some berry flavour and even a teeny bit of spice to flavour spectrum. I like everything that the Taittinger house makes, and this is no exception.
Musical Match: Swedish dance floor maestra Robyn (yes, I am being creative in my conjugation of maestro) pops the beats at the same rate is this Taittinger Cuvée Prestige Brut Rosé pops the bubbles, her sound is up to date, but not too specific to 2010/11, just like this non vintage Champagne. She brings a little spice and colour to to her lyrics as well.
