Sirius 2008 Bordeaux 2008, Red, France

For the last stop on my Fall Classic focus on Bordeaux, I am hitting a non AOC product simply labelled Sirius. The 2008 Red is a round flavoured wine with atypically higher levels of wood on the nose and the palate – touching on conservative California levels. This wine is a good bridge between wines that have been lead down the Parker path and classic styles of France. The sharp dryness sits well with the ripe berry juices.

Musical Match: Mixing Old Skool and New World is something that British hip hop artist is very comfortable with. Check out her awesome video from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack. Speaking of Old Skool – I love the Clash sample!

Leave a comment and me know what wine you would match with this music.
