Domaine de L’Ile Margaux 2006 Red, Bordeaux Superior, France

The Domaine de L’Ile Margaux 2006 Red is a great red wine that is more about comfort and quality than brash and daring. Coloured an elegant red, this classic Bordeaux blend offers a perfectly balanced taste of not overly ripe berries. Nobody will ever label 2006 as the vintage of a lifetime, but this proof that a winemaker can get great results in less than altruistic conditions – and sell it for about 20$ a bottle.
